Watchly ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Watchly mobile application (the "App") and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo to create and manage your account.
• Content you create: Rooms you create, videos you queue, and messages you send in chat.
• Usage data: Basic technical information such as device type and app activity, used to keep the App running reliably.
• Subscription data: If you purchase Watchly Pro, our payment processors receive your purchase, plan, trial status and renewal/expiry dates. Web and browser-extension purchases are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record); in-app purchases are processed through RevenueCat together with the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your full payment-card details — those are handled entirely by the payment processor.

How we use your information

• To create your account and let you sign in.
• To enable real-time watch-together rooms and live chat.
• To process and manage your Watchly Pro subscription and unlock Pro features.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the App.

How your information is stored

Account data and content are stored securely using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage). Real-time messaging is delivered through Ably, live voice chat through Agora, and subscription management and payments through Paddle (web & browser extension) and RevenueCat together with the Apple App Store and Google Play (in-app). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy standards.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the service providers listed above as needed to operate the App, or where required by law.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hi@letswatchly.online.

Children's privacy

Watchly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.

Terms & Conditions

Watchly (the "App", "Watchly", "we", "us", or "our") provides the Watchly service. By downloading or using Watchly, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Using Watchly

Watchly lets you watch YouTube videos in sync with others and chat in real time. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
• Do not harass other users or post hateful, threatening, or illegal content in chat.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App.

Watchly Pro subscriptions & payments

Watchly Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered at $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year (prices may vary by region and are shown before purchase). New subscribers may be eligible for a 3-day free trial, available once per user.

• Depending on how you subscribe, purchases are processed and billed either by Paddle (our Merchant of Record for web and browser-extension checkout) or by the Apple App Store or Google Play (for in-app purchases) — not by Watchly directly.
• When you buy through the web or browser extension, Paddle.com Market Limited acts as the Merchant of Record and handles payment, billing, and tax. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
• Payment is charged to your selected payment method or store account at confirmation of purchase.
• If you start a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, at any time — through your Paddle receipt/management link for web purchases, or in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings for in-app purchases. Cancelling stops future renewals; access to Pro continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy below.

Third-party content

Videos are played through YouTube, and — for Watchly Pro members — through Netflix, Prime Video and HBO Max, each subject to that provider's own terms of service. You are responsible for having any subscriptions or rights required to access that content. Watchly does not host or own this content and is not responsible for it.

User content

You retain ownership of the content you post (such as chat messages). You are solely responsible for it, and we may remove content that violates these Terms.

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watchly is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the App.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with Watchly Pro.

14-day refund

If you purchased Watchly Pro through our web or browser-extension checkout (processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record), you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. We will refund the full amount to your original payment method.

How to request a refund

Email us at hi@letswatchly.online with the email address used at checkout, or request your refund directly through Paddle using the link on your purchase receipt. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.

In-app purchases

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds for those purchases are requested and handled by Apple or Google through your store account.
